The racers of Minsk Cycling Club spent the final day of Belarus Open Track Cycling Championship brightly and fruitfully, winning champion titles in the points race among men and among women.
In the women's race, the main fight took place between representatives of Minsk Cycling Club. For most of the distance, Nastassia Kiptsikava and Hanna Tserakh took turns leading. However, at the end of the race, Tserakh managed to gain a lap of distance advantage and win with 88 points. Kiptsikava scored 64 points and took second place. And another Minsk Cycling Club racer, Iryna Chuyankova, finished in third position with 36 points.
Among men, there was a serious fight for prizes between the racers of Minsk Cycling Club and the national team. The leader of the capital's squad, Yauheni Karaliok, fought with Raman Ramanau throughout the entire 160 laps of the race and did it very successfully. After the main finish, Karaliok had 156 points and a gold medal. Ramanau scored 151 points and took second place. And Artur Kiryevich (134) won bronze in a bitter struggle with Raman Tsishkou.
In the open republican competitions in keirin silver medals to the club were brought by Valeryia Stsepanets and Aliaksandr Hlova. The winners in this event were Varvara Basiakova and Artsiom Zaitsau.
