On the first day of the Open Belarus Track Cycling Championship in non-Olympic disciplines, the Minsk Cycling Club racers won three gold medals.
Yauheni Karaliok won the individual pursuit (4:17.332), outstripping Dzianis Mazur in the final. The third was Raman Tsishkou, who caught up with Mark Hrynkevich.
Among women, Hanna Tserakh (3:31.231) celebrated the victory in a tense fight, ahead of Karalina Biriuk (3:31.738) by half a second. In the duel for the third place, Nastassia Kiptsikava caught up with Taisa Naskovich.
In 500-meter round the entire podium was also taken by the representatives of Minsk Cycling Club. Gold went to Varvara Basiakova (37.173), silver - to Nastassia Kiptsikava (37.612), and bronze - to Kseniya Shynkarenka (38.038).
Finally, in the men's 1000m time trial, Artsiom Zaitsau (1:00.749), who set a new Belarusian record, was unbeatable. The second place went to Minsk Cycling Club racer Aliaksandr Hlova (1:03.285), while Aliaksei Shnyrko (1:04.237) took third place in a tense fight.
On Friday, medals in scratch, sprint and elimination races will be played in Minsk-Arena.
