A grandiose bike festival will be held in Minsk on May 13, 2017! By well-established tradition the event will start with a colorful bike parade of thousands of amateur cyclists on the Pobediteley avenue and continue by exciting festivities in the Pobedy square.

An area along Lake Komsomolskoye will host around 20 entertaining venues and playgrounds with different cycling activities, carnival costume contests, competitions, photo zones, an exposition of science and inventions by 3M, a sports ground by Minsk Cycling Club, performances of popular artists and numerous gifts and prizes from the organizers. For children there will be organized a special playground “Juicy City”.

The first Minsk bike festival “Viva Rovar!” attracted in 2016 more than 9 thousands participants, who managed to make the event not only large-scale, but also incredibly spectacular and memorable by their interesting costumes and creative bike decorations.

The inspirers and organizers of this great cycling festival – Minsk Cycling Club and Minsk Cycling Community with the active support of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus and Belarusian Cycling Federation extended the format and prepare a lot of surprises. First, the 2017 Minsk bike festival received an international status – all foreign participants travelling overland will be granted free visas to Belarus. Second, an international conference on the development of cycling, cycling infrastructure and tourism in cities will be held for the first time in Minsk on May 12 as a part of the “Viva Rovar!” cycling event. Among experts and speakers – members of international organizations, representatives of European and CIS states. The event is coordinated by Minsk Cycling Club and Minsk Cycling Community with EU backing within the project “Development of cycling in cities in the public interests of the Republic of Belarus”.

Changes were also made in the registration procedure – all participants registered online will be able to collect their numbers beforehand. The registration desks also will be located in the Pobedy square before the start of the bike parade.

The large-scale cycling holiday will offer a colorful and full of drive opening to the season of festivals for all the citizens of Minsk, Belarus and foreign guests!
