The fifth day of the Russian Open Championship in St. Petersburg turned out to be rich in medals for the Belarusians.
In the finals of the women's scratch race, Hanna Tserakh, the leader of Belarus national team, celebrated the victory. Another Belarusian, Alina Karotkina, took the second place.
In men's scratch, Belarusian two-time world champion Yauheni Karaliok fought hard against numerous opponents from Russia and managed to get the second place.
Hanna Tserakh got on the podium once again that day. In the elimination race, the Belarusian finished second. Among men, in this discipine, the best of the Belarusians was Artur Kiryevich, who took fourth place.
1 km time trial brought fifth place to the Belarusian sprinter Aliksandr Hlova. And in the women's 500m time trial, our compatriot Varvara Basiakova was eighth.
